To students prepping for college: Which dorm should you choose?

Housing is a subtle part of every student’s college experience. Even websites with tons of useful information often neglect to go over the impact of a student’s living conditions. After struggling to find accurate information about dormitories, I knew I had to summarize my findings for my fellow juniors and seniors. Hopefully, this graphic can guide a decision about which type of dorm to choose – traditional vs. a suite – as well as clear up the contradictions that so many similar guides seem to have.

For some final tips:

• Remember to bring power strips, a mattress cover, and a filter pitcher (in case you want filtered water).
• All decor should be removable, so don’t get fined for leaving holes or paint!
