Arianna’s Story: How college support programs can make a difference

 

Arianna is a first-generation freshman at Western Washington University. She is from Richland and aspires to become a high school history teacher – inspired by her own teachers. In her new podcast, she explores how college support programs can make a difference in students’ lives, through her personal experience. Arianna discusses the AVID program, the many skills she learned in the program that have helped her succeed in college, and some of the systemic barriers she faced and how she overcame them
